Types of Leather

Leather is timeless, durable and natural. At Recor you can choose between three types of leather: Namibo, Samoa and Mammut. Each leather is available in a range of beautiful colors. Below you will find more information about each type. Go to a Recor point of sale to discover the materials.

Namibo (5 year warranty)

Namibo is a flexible semi-aniline leather from 1.2 to 1.4 mm thick with a soft touch. The aniline leather is coated with an innovative protective transparent finish. This makes the material less sensitive to stains and discolouration, but at the same time shows its natural characteristics. As a result, Namibo radiates pure luxury.

Samoa (5 year warranty)

Samoa is a corrected and covered leather of 1.3 to 1.5 mm thick. In comparison to semi-aniline, this type of leather is less susceptible to external influences. It is coated with a pigmented, non-transparent finish layer, so that the natural characteristics in the skin are less / not noticeable. This protective layer offers extra protection, making this type of leather very practical and easy to maintain.

The natural characteristics of the leather are slightly less clear because a print is used to give the leather the same appearance everywhere.

Mammut leather (2 year warranty)

Like Samoa, Mammut leather is corrected and covered. However, it is less thick (1.1 to 1.3 mm), making it cheaper. You receive a 2-year warranty on Mammut leather.
